 정의 | Definition

분쟁광물이란 아프리카 분쟁지역에서 채굴되는 4대 광물을 의미합니다.

• 분쟁지역(10개국) : 콩고민주공화국, 콩고, 수단, 르완다, 브룬디, 우간다, 잠비아, 앙골라, 탄자니아, 중앙아프리카

• 분쟁광물(3TGs) : 주석(Tin), 탄탈럼(Tantalum), 텅스텐(Tungsten), 금(Gold)

Overview of Conflict Minerals

Conflict minerals refer to four key minerals mined in conflict-affected regions of Africa.

• Conflict-Affected Regions (10 Countries):Democratic Republic of the Congo, Republic of the Congo, Sudan, Rwanda, Burundi, Uganda, Zambia, Angola, Tanzania, Central African Republic

• Conflict Minerals (3TGs):

  • Tin (Sn)

  • Tantalum (Ta)

  • Tungsten (W)

  • Gold (Au)

 규제 | Regulations

분쟁지역에서 채굴된 광물 판매로 인한 자금이 인권을 유린하고 있는 해당 국가의 무장단체로 유입되는 것을 방지하기 위해, 기업이 분쟁지역에서 채굴된 분쟁광물의 사용여부를 보고하도록 규정하고 있습니다.

To prevent funds from the sale of minerals mined in conflict-affected regions from flowing to armed groups that violate human rights, companies are required to report whether they use conflict minerals sourced from these regions.

 분쟁광물 정책 | Conflict Minerals Policy

• 분쟁광물을 규제하는 국제기준을 적용하여 법률 준수를 위한 분쟁광물 업무 프로세스를 수립하여, RBA(Responsible Business Alliance)와 글로벌 e-지속가능성 이니셔티브(Global e-Sustainability Initiative, GeSI)가 추진하는 분쟁광물 사용금지 활동들을 적극적으로 지지한다.

• RBA 및 GeSI가 제공하는 분쟁광물 사용보고 질의서를 이용하여 자사의 제품에 사용되는 주석, 탄 탈륨, 텅스텐, 및 금의 모든 제련소 명칭과 위치를 파악한다.

• 분쟁광물 사용보고 질의서의 제출과 분쟁광물을 사용하지 않고 있다는 서면 확인을 협력사들에게 요청한다.

• 협력사들이 ‘분쟁으로부터 자유로운 제련소 인증 프로그램(Conflict-Free Smelter Program)’에 의하여 인증 받은 제련소로부터 분쟁광물을 구매하도록 지원한다.

  By applying international standards regulating conflict minerals, we have established a conflict minerals management process to ensure legal compliance. Additionally, we actively support conflict mineral-free initiatives led by the Responsible Business Alliance (RBA) and the Global e-Sustainability Initiative (GeSI).

• We utilize the Conflict Minerals Reporting Template (CMRT) provided by RBA and GeSI to identify the names and locations of all smelters processing tin, tantalum, tungsten, and gold used in our products.

• We request our suppliers to submit the Conflict Minerals Reporting Template and provide written confirmation that they do not use conflict minerals.

• Furthermore, we support our suppliers in sourcing conflict minerals exclusively from smelters certified by the Conflict-Free Smelter Program (CFSP).
